`We still maintain our stance of readiness for agreement on the condition that we take into account the current situation on the battlefield as well as our position, which everyone is well aware of,` Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said in response.
`In addition, it must also take into account our security interests, including the need to prevent the formation of a hostile Nazi regime near Russia’s borders,` he added.
Mr. Lavrov previously stated that the longer Kiev delays negotiations with Moscow, the more difficult it will be to reach an agreement.
The Russian diplomat also said that the West is just looking for a ceasefire in Ukraine to take that opportunity to `smuggle` more weapons into Ukraine.
`In fact, they are not hiding their terms, which include a break of several months and no agreements, except a ceasefire, as they seek to buy time to supply Ukraine with more weapons
He stated clearly that if Kiev and its Western allies maintain their position, the conflict will be resolved on the battlefield.

Mr. Lavrov has repeatedly affirmed to the media that Moscow is ready to negotiate an end to the conflict in Ukraine, with different conditions.
As for Ukraine, the country’s leader declared that peace talks can only take place when they win on the battlefield.
On the battlefield, Ukraine continued its counterattack that has lasted nearly 4 months.
The Ukrainian army said its forces had broken through Russia’s first line and continued to advance in both the East and the South.
Despite these statements, Moscow believes that Ukraine’s counterattack has failed and suffered heavy losses.
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) on September 25 cited an internal source from the Kremlin, revealing that Mr. Putin gave the Russian Ministry of Defense a 1-month deadline to prevent Ukraine’s counterattack.
Specifically, the Russian military command is allowed to order continuous counterattacks to push Ukrainian forces to the limit.
ISW’s report points out that Russia is trying to reduce Western support and trust for Ukraine.
