Missile attacked military port in Crimea, Russia opened anti-aircraft fire to shoot it down

(Dan Tri) – Russia continues to repel the attack on Sevastopol port after the Black Sea Fleet headquarters was recently attacked.

Mikhail Razvozhayev, Governor of the Sevastopol region appointed by Russia, announced on Telegram that Russian forces repelled an attack on the port of Sevastopol in Crimea on September 25.

Mr. Razvozhayev cited preliminary data saying that Russian air defense units shot down a missile near Belbek military airport.

The air raid warning was later lifted.

The raid was one of a series of Ukrainian attacks targeting Sevastopol, where Russia’s Black Sea Fleet is headquartered, and the Crimean peninsula recently.

The Black Sea Fleet is said to be an important force in Russia’s raid campaigns from the Black Sea on targets across Ukraine.

On September 22, the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that Ukraine had launched a missile attack on the Black Sea Fleet headquarters in Sevastopol.

Moscow said that the attack damaged the headquarters and killed one soldier.

Meanwhile, the Special Forces (SOF) of the Ukrainian army announced that after Ukraine’s raid on the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet, 34 Russian officers died, including the fleet commander.

Just a few days earlier, Kiev announced a successful raid on a ship repair yard of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol, causing `irrecoverable` damage to a Russian submarine and large amphibious assault ship.

Meanwhile, Moscow said that Ukraine’s recent increased frequency of attacks on Crimea and targets within Russian territory shows that Kiev is `desperate` with a stagnant counterattack without a breakthrough.

According to experts, Ukraine’s goal is to gradually weaken Russia’s defense in Crimea, isolating Crimea from Russian forces participating in the military campaign in Ukraine.

Late on September 25, the Russian Defense Ministry said Russian air defense units repelled several Ukrainian drone attacks in the Belgorod and Kursk regions, destroying a total of at least 11 drones.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, seven drones were shot down in the Belgorod region and four in the Kursk region.
