President Putin signed an order on entry for Ukrainians
(Dan Tri) – Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree allowing Ukrainian citizens to enter Russia using their domestic passports and without needing a visa.

According to the decree announced on September 29, Ukrainian citizens do not need to apply for a visa to enter Russia.
In addition, Ukrainians can still enter or leave Russia with expired documents.
Children with Ukrainian citizenship can leave Russia with their legal guardian or another adult with notarized authorization documents.
Russia and Ukraine signed a visa-free travel agreement in 1997. This agreement was terminated by the Ukrainian side on January 1, 2023.
However, Russian authorities still decided not to impose visa requirements on Ukrainian citizens.

Previously, President Putin announced on September 1 that Russia plans to allocate 1.9 trillion rubles (20 billion USD) from the federal budget in the next 2 and a half years to develop the 4 regions in Ukraine that Moscow declared.
The above move took place in the context that the four regions above had begun conducting local elections, earlier than other regions across Russia.
Ukraine considers elections organized by Russia in annexed territories illegal.
President Putin in April signed a decree allowing the deportation of people without Russian passports in territories newly annexed from Ukraine, if these people are determined to pose a security threat to Russia.
The decree states that these threats include calls for violence to change Russia’s constitutional order, planning or financing terrorist attacks, and extremist crimes.
