`This month, more than 17,000 people, more than 2,700 types of weapons and military equipment (of Ukraine) were destroyed, including 7 US M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, 77 US M777 artillery systems

According to Mr. Shoigu, the Ukrainian armed forces are suffering serious losses along the entire front line due to Russian attack fire.

`Even though no meaningful results were achieved from the counterattack, the Western countries supporting Kiev still did not withdraw from their principle: `Weapons are the path to peace`. Actions that cause skepticism

Ukraine began counterattacking in June after receiving more weapons and receiving training support from the West.

According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ukraine suffered heavy lossesĀ in this counterattack, including more than 71,000 troops, 543 tanks and nearly 18,000 armored vehicles.

The slow speed of the counterattack raises the perception that it is difficult for Ukraine to achieve its goal of regaining all territory from Russia, at least in the near future.

Defense experts say that Ukraine’s counteroffensive will hardly create any breakthrough this year.

The US-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW), citing insiders in the Kremlin, said that President Putin asked Defense Minister Shoigu to improve the situation on the front lines and prevent counterattacks by

The Russian Defense Minister was given about a month until early October to complete this goal.

The report said that the Kremlin considered the successful defense against Ukraine’s persistent counterattacks to be an important victory in the context that Russia has not been able to achieve further progress on the battlefield.

Analysts also believe that this Russian success could weaken the West’s trust and support for Ukraine.

Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley recently commented that Ukraine may only have 30-45 days left to counterattack before the terrain becomes muddy in the fall and freezing in the winter.

However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the country’s army will continue to counterattack this fall and winter.
