Last weekend, the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that Ukraine had launched a missile attack on the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol at noon on September 22.

Moscow said that the attack damaged the headquarters and killed one soldier.

Meanwhile, SOF said on September 23 that the attack killed and injured dozens of people, including the senior commander of the Black Sea Fleet.

Russia annexed the peninsula in 2014 after a controversial referendum.

The raid was one of a series of recent Ukrainian attacks targeting the Black Sea Fleet and the Crimean peninsula.
