`There’s only one sentence that sums it all up, and I’m quoting him verbatim. Mr. Zelensky said: ‘If we don’t get aid, we will lose the war,’` said the Senate Majority Leader.

President Joe Biden’s administration has proposed spending an additional $24 billion on Ukraine, but this proposal faces opposition from Republican lawmakers.

`The American people deserve to know where their money is spent. How did the counterattack take place?`, the letter stated.

`Is Ukraine now closer to victory than it was 6 months ago? What is our strategy and what are the president’s plans? What does the administration define as victory in Ukraine?`, the letter read.

As the Russia-Ukraine conflict enters its second year, some Republican lawmakers have expressed skepticism about the effectiveness of arms aid to Ukraine.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on September 20 suddenly announced that the country would stop military aid to Ukraine to focus on equipping its army.

According to experts, Poland’s move is quite sudden, but still predictable due to recent tensions between the two countries regarding grain exports.

Pentagon spokesman Chris Sherwood said on September 19 that, in the event the US government has to shut down due to failure to reach a budget agreement, the Pentagon can still access equipment in reserve.

However, the shipment of equipment as well as the US military training program for the Ukrainian army `may be affected by personnel reductions and the Department of Defense’s suspension of all activities considered

Any interruption in US aid to Ukraine will be detrimental to Kiev at a time when the country’s military is trying to counterattack.

Since the Russia-Ukraine conflict broke out in February 2022, the West has poured significant military aid to the Kiev government.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg once said that the only way to force Russia to sit at the negotiating table is to continue arming Ukraine and providing military support to Ukraine as `the fastest path to peace`.
